Caraga Congressmen Miangal Batok Transfer sa Taga-DENR

WALA MAKA-ANGAY ang mga kongresista sa Caraga Region ngadto sa gipalakaw karon nga matud pa “pagbalhin-balhin” sa mga opisyales sa Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) sa lain-laing dapit sa Caraga Region.

Ang mga kongresista naghangyo karon kang Environment Secretary Jose L. Atienza, Jr. nga pugngan ang pagbalhin-balhin sa mga forestry officials sa lain-laing lugar sa rehiyon.

Sa ilang sulat kang Atienza naghangyo ang mga congressmen nga “no movement of personnel whatsoever” kung dili konsultahon. Gitumbok sa sulat sa mga kongresista ang matud pa gipatuman nga revamp ni DENR Northeastern Mindanao OIC, Forester Edilberto Buiser, bisan kung walay konsultasyon sa mga kongresista sa lain-laing distrito sa Caraga.

Dili gusto ang mga kongresista nga hilabtan ni Buiser ang nanglingkod sa upat ka mga Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Offricers (PENRO’s) ug 13 ka mga Community Environment and Natural Resources Officers (CENRO’s) sa lima ka mga lalawigan, ug unom ka mga dakbayan sa Amihanang sidlakan Mindanao.

“We are very much alarmed to have learned of this developedment which we believe will be counter-productive to the various initiatives in the environment and natural resources sector now gaining momentum in the region,” matud sa sulat sa mga kongresista nga gikutlo pod sa report kagahapon.

“We strongly believe that this is a matter that warrants consultations with the local officials in the region who are the most active partners and allies in the implementation of the department’s programs and projects,” asoy sa sulat sa mga kongresista.

Giklaro ni Buiser nga “no mass transfer or reassignment of PENRO’s and CENRO’s” nga iyang gipatuman sa rehiyon.

Iyang gisulti nga lain-laing mga DENR employees, personnel ug trabahador sa lain-laing dapit sa rehiyon, nag-una karon sa pagpatuman sa mga development programs, environment preservation and forest protection programs sa iyang buhatan.
